Job Description:
A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to support the
revenue cycle process and ensure timely collections from
third-party payers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage assigned accounts, ensuring timely and accurate billing,
collections, and payment activities
Investigate denials, coordinate with billers and funding
consultants, and prepare correspondence for payment issues
Document collection actions, follow up with stakeholders, and
recommend adjustments or write-offs as necessary
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma
2 or more years of experience in computer, accounting, collections,
and high-volume medical billing or insurance claims processing
Knowledge of payment posting processes and medical insurance claims
procedures preferred
Proficient in MS Office applications
Ability to manage confidential information and apply independent
judgment
