Focused on deepwater Gulf of Mexico this Houston-based oil exploration company has a team of deepwater expertise behind its success in just two short years. Their growth strategy is to capture drill-ready prospects by working alongside recognized industry players in the GOM's subsalt play and maximize the probability of success at the same time prudently managing capital.

They are currently seeking a Director of Geology who will participate as an active member of the Exploration Leadership Team; evaluate and recommend geology-based manpower resource requirements and opportunities; monitor industry operational activity; and, support the engineering team by participating in quarterly reviews with the board and budget planning.

Qualifications include a MS or PhD in Geology or Geophysics; 20+ years of industry experience; deep knowledge of deepwater petroleum systems; strong leadership acumen; and, adept across geology workflows including well correlation, sequence stratigraphy, and basin modeling.
