KPRC 2, the Graham Media Group owned NBC affiliated station, is seeking a National Sales Leader who will grow linear market share and exceed linear and digital revenue goals through bold, outside-the-box thinking and coaching sales representatives to deliver results. Responsibilities: The National Sales Manager will exhibit the ability to develop deep relationships with key stakeholders at leading advertising agencies and direct clients that serve the Houston DMA. The ideal candidate will be client focused, detail oriented and possess institutional knowledge offering best in class service for National advertisers. Work cooperatively with sales management to identify and address all issues regarding cross-platform strategies and workflow while creating interactive products, packages, content, and rates appropriate to the market. Manage, engage, and motivate the National Sales team Achieve and surpass National revenue goals. Responsible for making ethical business decisions while focusing on profitability of his/her sales organizations as well as specific sales proposals and offerings. Consistently communicate with GSM regarding station pricing and inventory models, utilizing all available platforms. Create sales promotions that simultaneously serve the interests of clients. Develop sales and profitable advertising programs that deliver expected ROI for advertisers. Through ongoing and consistent verbal and written communication with the National Sales Team provide relevant information to General Sales Manager and General Manager regarding market conditions, sales opportunities, and other business matters within the National marketplace. Report weekly revenue forecast based on all pending National business pending. Consistent travel to key U.S. ad markets. Lead the stations political sales efforts, including tracking of payments, fulfillment of public file posting responsibilities and collaborate on achieving the goals of both the station and agency. Work with Local Sales Managers and General Sales Manager to foster a positive sales environment Qualifications: Candidate should have extensive experience in broadcast/digital sales, product knowledge, and local market analytics, preferably TV sales and management. Candidate should have expert knowledge of research and ratings metrics, Wide Orbit Traffic and Wide Orbit Media Sales experience is a plus. Leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing a sales staff to achieve revenue goals and high performance. Exceptional coaching skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills a must. Computer skills are essential to pull/create reports and provide data/analytics. Ability to share vision, gain buy in and build loyalty. Candidates should be extremely flexible in the face of an extraordinarily dynamic work environment.
