facilities.Job SummaryThe Director of Strategy will play a critical
role in shaping and executing the long-term vision and growth
strategies of the company. Reporting directly to the CEO, this
position requires an individual with a strong blend of analytical
rigor, strategic thinking, and market insight. The Director will be
responsible for leading market research, identifying pipeline
needs, and formulating market entry strategies for both greenfield
development and M&A opportunities in priority markets. This
role will also lead the preparation and delivery of the annual
business review, ensuring alignment of strategic objectives across
the organization.Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Lead the development and execution of the
company's long-term growth strategy, aligning with corporate goals
and market opportunities.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to
assess trends, risks, opportunities, and competitive landscape in
the utility-scale power sector. This includes tracking regulatory
and legislative policy changes that may impact development and
market strategies. Identify priority markets for greenfield
development and M&A activities.
- Pipeline Development: Collaborate with development and
commercial teams to assess and prioritize pipeline needs, ensuring
alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- M&A Strategy: Identify, evaluate, and support M&A
opportunities to accelerate growth in key markets to ensure
alignment with the annual business review and broader strategic
goals.
- Market Entry Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for
entering new markets or expanding within existing ones, including
regulatory analysis, partnership opportunities, and risk
assessments.
- Stakeholder Communication & Business Review: Lead the
preparation and delivery of the annual business review to the CEO,
executive team, and board of directors. Provide in-depth market
insights and strategic recommendations, ensuring the alignment of
organizational objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development,
commercial, finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure
strategic initiatives are executable and aligned across the
organization.
- Performance Tracking: Establish metrics to evaluate the success
of strategic initiatives and adjust plans as needed to achieve
business objectives.Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering,
or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, corporate development, or a
related role within the energy or infrastructure sector, ideally in
utility-scale renewable energy.
- Proven track record of leading business transformation and
change management initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with market research,
financial modeling, and pipeline forecasting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the
ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and
recommendations for senior leadership.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and
influence at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with financial modeling and capital allocation
strategies is a plus.
- Experience in greenfield development, regulatory frameworks,
and market dynamics in the power sector is a plus.Preferred
