OverviewThe Director of Data and Analytics will be instrumental in shaping the company's data strategy and driving innovation. This role demands a robust technical proficiency in Azure Databricks with substantial platform-level experience. The director will oversee a team of data professionals, cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, and ensuring the efficient delivery and stability of data and analytic platforms.Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business objectives to foster growth and innovation.
• Data Platform Management: Ensure the efficient operation and stability of data platforms, particularly Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric, to support business needs.
• Data Quality Assurance: Implement processes and tools to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and security across all systems.
• Solution Delivery: Oversee the delivery of data solutions that meet the needs of various business units, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of data operations.
• Industry Awareness: Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in data technology and strategy, applying best practices to enhance data operations.
• Team Mentorship: Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Leadership: Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, leading by example and promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Data Governance: Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance data operations and strategy.Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in development and delivery of data engineering, data management, data governance, and data strategy.
• 8+ years of leadership experience leading direct or indirect teams.
• 5+ years of recent hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Power BI.
• Strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Snowflake, or other cloud based warehousing technologies. Platform-level experience is a plus.
• Full understanding and experience in the delivery of data products, including data ingestion, data warehousing, data governance, reporting and analytics.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing data strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in the hospitality, restaurant, or entertainment industry is a plus.
