Job Summary and Qualifications
What You Will Do In This Role:
* You will perform treatment under the supervision of a licensed
occupational therapist for patients that are acutely ill or have
medical needs, which result in mobility and activities of daily
living deficits.
* You will monitor and document every therapy encounter, identify
any adverse responses/follow-ups, report tolerance and progress of
therapy interventions in medical record.
* You will be responsible for performing patient screenings and
deliver to supervising occupational therapist for determination of
screen recommendations and for securing the necessary supplies for
treatment.
* You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a
resource to the Rehab team.
* You will have accountability for delivering quality services and
for promoting a positive image of the department
What qualifications you will need:
* Associate Degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program is
required.
* Physical Therapy Assistant License issued by the Texas State
Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.
* 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant: Inpatient
Rehab is preferred. New grads will be considered.
* Current BLS certification is required.
* Must be able to work weekdays and some weekends.
