approachwith others.Advisor & SME Position Priorities SBP Advisors
offer assistance and subject matter expertise to SBP programs. This
position will specifically focus on the success of SBP's Resilience
and Recovery Fellows Program, including integration and support of
program leadership, Fellows, and Fellow community partners.
Advisors are expected to use their relevant disaster preparedness,
recovery, resilience, and or mitigation experience and expertise to
advise internal and external stakeholders and help them achieve
specific objectives. SBP Advisors may also have opportunities to
assist other parts of the organization depending on their specific
expertise and availability. Relevant ExpertiseSBP seeks a qualified
applicant with experience writing and reviewing Federal and State
grants. The ideal candidate has been involved in the planning,
award, and implementation of projects and programs at a local or
state level in one or more of the following relevant areas: FEMA:
Hazard and Resilience Portfolio including BRIC, FMA & HMGP HUD:
CDBG, CDBG-DR, Climate Resilience, Green Infrastructure,
Preservation, Neighborhood Planning, etc. Offerings concerning
disaster response, recovery, mitigation, resilience, climate,
energy solutions, etc. found in the Inflation Reduction Act and
Bipartisan Infrastructure LawEDA: Including but not limited to
disaster-related grants from USDA and Cyber Security Funding
Environmental Protection Agency Department of Transportation
(Federal Transit Administration) Department of Commerce (NOAA)
Experience with the following types of projects or focus areas:
Nature-Based SolutionsTransportation Climate Energy Social
Vulnerability Hazard/Risk Assessment Most Relevant Geographies To
best serve SBP Fellows and partner communities we are specifically
looking for applicants who are currently located in the following
geographic areas: Texas Louisiana Mississippi Alabama Florida
Georgia South Carolina North Carolina ResponsibilitiesThis Advisor
will assist program leadership and the Fellows themselves in
accomplishing the goals and objectives of the program. Each Fellow
must access or influence at least $5M in Federal, State, or Private
and Philanthropic funds in their community during a 2-year term.
Advisors will work directly with the Fellows program to: Review the
hazards and gaps analysis of each Fellow community, understand
local project priorities, review available applicable funding
sources, and review, write, and QA competitive grant
proposalsGather applicable data and research to inform Fellows,
program support, community partners, and other SBP programs Analyze
and organize notice of funding opportunities, review with program
leaders, and make recommendations regarding applicability
Requirements:Expert-level understanding of at least one of the
abovementioned Federal programs Previous experience in grant
writing and project implementation at a city, county, regional, or
State level Must be self-directed and work to achieve objectives.
Track record of overcoming obstacles and difficulties within state
or local government including programmatic and political hurdles.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
at once.Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to CDC guidelines
and provide proof of vaccinationAble to pass a Criminal History
Check satisfactorily to include sex offender registry, State
Police, and FBI.Valid driver's license and reliable
transportation.Performance ExpectationsThe individual is expected

development.Salary Range: $90,000K-$110,000K SBP is building a
