As an Advisor, Strategy and Fundamentals, you will play a pivotal role in the development and communication of commercial and low carbon strategies for Enbridge's Gas Transmission and Midstream (GTM) business unit.

The successful candidate will work in our Houston, TX or Calgary, AB office and be responsible for development of the business unit strategy, market analysis and leading relationships with investor relations to tell Enbridge's gas story.

What you will do:

• Support development of Enbridge's Gas Transmission and Midstream strategy and long-term priorities
• Coordinate with key partners across the organization to advance growth strategies.
• Lead and take ownership of analysis within natural gas, low carbon energy, etc. in support of strategy
• Conduct analysis using tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or other analytical tools.
• Help develop documents to facilitate cross-functional discussions and to communicate with Executive Leadership
• Develop business unit-specific low-carbon growth strategies.
• Monitor, understand and communicate the performance of major peers and customers, and conduct relevant comparisons.
• Work to understand the impact of energy fundamentals and the external environment on our strategy and fundamentals.
• Monitor current market intelligence and convey important industry and macroeconomic developments, and news items to the team.
• Provide relevant research and analysis for commercial teams to advance strategic growth opportunities.
• Conduct research using resources such as Bloomberg, S&P, WoodMac, etc.
  
  Who you are:
  
  
  • A bachelor's degree in economics, business, or engineering with a good understanding of the North American energy industry (additional certifications would be a bonus, e.g., MBA)
  • 4+ years of experience in the Energy sector with a knowledge and interest of low carbon energy
  • Experience with conducting both qualitative and quantitative analysis, including research
  • Strong presentation and communications skills
  • Ability to adapt to frequently shifting priorities
    
    Working Conditions:
    
    
    • Work performed in typical office environment with some travel required
    • Exposed to stressful situations where smart decisions must be made without supervision. Work may include any combination of hours in a given 24-hour period
    • Holiday and overtime work as necessary are also required
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
    • The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk
    • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

      Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
